Studio Figovsky was founded in 2002 by industrial designer Roy Figovsky, graduate of Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design Jerusalem.

The Studio Specializes in the deisgn and development of interactive experiential projects and exhibitions, for museums, science centers, educational institutions and other organizations, with an emphasis on making a wide variety of content accessible to the greater public.

All the projects developed by the Studio are original and creative both in terms of the thought process, dissection and simplification of the subject matter and in terms of the in-depth research which forms the basis of their design and development. Amongst the Studio’s projects which illustrate this process are the interactive science exhibition “Who’s afraid of maths?” and “Mirrors” - optical interactive exhibits.

In 2015 Roy Figovsky was appointed Director for Design & Development at the Exhibitions Wing in Madatech, the National Museum for Science and Technology, Haifa. In this capacity, he managed and lead a variety of unique cutting edge projects for the Museum and other institutes with his team of designers and developers. Particularly prominent projects were the establishment of the new Centre for Early Childhood at the Museum, “To reach the Sky” a new astronomy exhibition and “Makers Space” new Makers Labs at the Museum. Under Figovsky’s management the Department played an active role in the planning and establishment of two new science centers in Mekele and Aksum in Ethiopia, as well as creating specific exhibitions for them.

Since 2018 Studio Figovsky has developed independent projects in a variety of areas including the field of archaeology where several projects have been created comprising of experimental, interactive, scientific and historical elements.
